NLC Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2023

Educational Qualification

The candidates willing to apply for NLC Recruitment 2023 are required to have ITI (Relevant Trade) (NCVT/SCVT)/ B.Com/ B.Sc./ B.C.A/ B.B.A to apply for the NLC Apprentice vacancy. The post-wise educational qualification details as given below.

Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:

• Full-time Degree in the respective discipline from a Statutory University.
• Full-time Degree in the respective discipline from an Institution empowered by an Act of Parliament to grant such degrees.

Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:

• Full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline.
• Full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a University in the relevant discipline.
• Full-time Diploma in Engineering and Technology from an Institution recognized by the State or Central Government as equivalent to the above.

These qualifications are necessary for candidates applying for different categories of apprenticeships in the respective disciplines.

Age Limit

The NLC India Limited Recruitment 2023 sets the maximum age limit as 35 years for applicants by the provisions outlined in the Apprenticeship Act.

NLC India Limited Apprentice Selection Process 2023

The selection of candidates for NLC India Limited Recruitment 2023 is given below:

1. The candidates’ selection process will be determined based on the percentage of marks attained in their qualifying Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma.
2. The calculation of the percentage of marks secured in the final qualifying examinations will adhere to the practices followed by the respective University / Institution.
3. If a candidate has received grades / CGPA instead of marks, the conversion to percentage will be carried out according to the University / Institution’s established procedure.
4. If the University / Institution lacks a defined scheme for percentage calculation, the following principles will apply: a. For candidates with Grades / CGPA, the percentage equivalence will be established by multiplying the Grade / CGPA by a factor of 10. b. For candidates with marks on a semester basis, the percentage equivalence will be determined by calculating the average of marks obtained in all semesters from the second year to the final year. c. For candidates with marks every year, the percentage equivalence will be determined by calculating the average of marks obtained in all years from the second year to the final year.

Its important to note that the the shortlisdted candidates will also be required to appear for document verification followed by medical examination.
