GATE Exam Pattern 2027
The GATE 2027 exam pattern has been released by IIT Madras, the organising institute for GATE 2027. The exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in English. Each paper will carry 100 marks and the total duration will be 3 hours. GATE 2027 will have 30 test papers, including the newly introduced Robotics & Automation (RA) paper. GATE Marking Scheme 2027
GATE 2027 questions will carry either 1 mark or 2 marks. The negative marking rules depend on the type of question.

Important Points About Negative Marking
- Negative marking is applicable only to MCQ questions.
- 1/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect 1-mark MCQ.

- There is no negative marking in MSQ and NAT questions.
- MSQ questions do not have partial marking.
