The candidates will be selected for DRDO Scientist B 2022 as per the criteria described in detail below.

Based on Valid Gate Score

Candidates with a valid GATE Score will have to give a Descriptive Examination (Written Examination) followed by a Personal Interview.

• Category I: Candidates will be shortlisted for a Descriptive Examination based on their valid GATE score.
• Category II: All IIT and NIT graduate engineers with a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in the EQ degree are eligible. They will be called for the Descriptive Exam.
• The Candidates who appear for the Descriptive Examination will be further shortlisted for a Personal Interview in order of merit.
• * Merit list will be prepared based on the Written Exam only.

Descriptive Examination

• The DRDO Scientist B Written Examination will be a Descriptive Type Exam consisting of two papers of 300 marks each. It will be conducted in two sessions. Each session will be for 3 hours.
• The Descriptive Examination will be organized offline
• The Descriptive Examination will be organized at DRDO centers in seven cities i.e.  Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, and Pune.
