DDA JE Detailed Eligibility Criteria 2025

1. Educational Qualification

  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution or equivalent.
  • Surveyor: Either a Diploma in Surveying or a two-year National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Surveying from a recognized institute. In addition, candidates must have two years of work experience in surveying.

2. Age Limit

  • JE (Civil): 18 to 27 years.
  • Surveyor: 18 to 25 years.
  • Age relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwBD: 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
    • Departmental candidates: Up to 40 years (JE), as per rules.

3. Nationality

The candidate must be:

  • A citizen of India,
  • Or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan,
  • Or a Tibetan refugee settled in India before 1st January 1962,
  • Or a person of Indian origin from select countries intending to settle permanently in India.

4. PwBD Eligibility

Candidates with locomotor disability (one arm/leg) and hearing impairment can apply. The minimum benchmark disability must be 40% or more, as defined under the RPwD Act, 2016.
