CIL MT Detailed Selection Process 2026
For the convenience of candidates, we have outlined the detailed selection process for the CIL MT recruitment. The selection process consists of two key stages: the online examination and document verification. While the final merit list will be based on the examination score, clearing the document verification stage is equally important.
- Online Examination:
Candidates must qualify for this examination with the best possible score. The exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks, consisting of 100 questions to be completed within three hours. It will be available in both English and Hindi. The normalization process will be applied to account for the difficulty level of each slot. The minimum qualifying score is 40marks.
- Document Verification:
Following the examination, a merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be called for document verification based on their rank. Candidates must present all the documents specified by Coal India Limited, and these documents must be original. Candidates failing to produce the required documents or with discrepancies may not be considered for further stages in the recruitment process.
- Medical Test:
The CIL MT medical test is an important step after selection. Candidates must be physically fit and meet the health standards set by Coal India Limited. Doctors check vision, hearing, and overall fitness. It ensures candidates are capable of handling job duties safely and effectively before final appointment.
CIL MT Service Bond
Selected candidates must work with Coal India for at least 60 months (5 years) from the date they join. At the time of joining, CIL needs to sign a service bond of Rs. 3 lakh. To complete this bond, Rs. 5,000 will be deducted every month from the salary of Management Trainees. This deducted amount will be returned after completing the full 60 months of service successfully, but no interest will be added to it.
