AAI Educational Qualification 2026: Important Notes
- Open/Distance Mode Degrees: Degrees or diplomas obtained through Open and Distance Learning from UGC-recognised universities or AICTE-approved courses, wherever applicable, will be considered for direct recruitment in AAI.
- Law Degree: A professional degree in Law will be accepted only if it is obtained from an Institute/University recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
- B.Tech Candidates: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Technology (B.Tech) can also apply for posts where a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E.) is mentioned, mainly for Commercial and Operations posts.

AAI Selection Process 2026

Important Notes for AAI Selection Process:
- The Interview process is only for Manager posts, except Manager (Fire Services).
- A Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence is required for Manager (Airport Operations) & Junior Executive (Airport Operations) posts.
- A valid Permanent LMV Driving Licence is required for the post of Manager (Fire Services) at the time of Application Verification.
- Temporary or Learner’s (Learning) Driving Licence will not be accepted.
- Candidates applying for Manager (Fire Services) must qualify the Physical Endurance Test (PET), which includes running, casualty carrying (lifting and carrying a sandbag), pole climbing, rope climbing, and full ladder climbing & descending.

The selected candidates will be placed in the following pay scales as per the post. In addition to the basic pay, they will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), Perks, HRA, CPF, Gratuity, Medical Benefits, and other allowances as per AAI rules.
