GPSC AE Selection Process 2025
The GPSC Assistant Engineer (AE) Selection Process 2025 is designed to evaluate candidates through a balanced assessment of both knowledge and personality. The recruitment process comprises two crucial stages: a Preliminary Examination followed by a Personal Interview.
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary exam is objective in nature and carries a total of 300 marks. Candidates will have a total time of 3 hours (180 minutes) to attempt the paper. It is divided into two parts:
- Part A – General Studies: 100 questions carrying 100 marks
- Part B – Concerned Subject (Electrical Engineering): 200 questions carrying 200 marks
Stage 2: Interview
Candidates who qualify in the prelims are called for a Personal Interview, which carries 100 marks. The interview evaluates a candidate’s confidence, communication skills, subject understanding, and suitability for a government engineering role.
