The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has finally announced the much-awaited SSC CGL Result 2025 on its official website at www.ssc.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the Tier 1 exam can now check their qualifying status as well as cut-off marks in the official PDF available at the website. Those who qualified for Tier 1, will now appear for the Tier 2 stage. The scorecard of the candidates will be available soon at the website. But check the selection status first.
SSC CGL Result 2025 Out
The SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 for Combined Graduate Level 2025 was held from 12th to 26th September 2025, followed by a re-exam on 14th October 2025. Tier 1 qualified candidates are now eligible for the Tier 2 stage, which consists of an Objective paper and skill test for some posts. The Commission aims to select eligible candidates for 14582 Group B and C vacancies, such as ASO, Inspector, Assistant, JSO, etc., in various Central Govt Departments/Institutions/Ministries.
The SSC CGL Tier-II, 2025 is tentatively scheduled to be held in the third week of January 2026. Shortlisted candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of the Commission for further updates.
1,39,395 Candidates Selected For Tier 2
- This year, 28.15 lakh applicants have submitted their applications for the SSC CGL exam.
- Out of 28+ lakh candidates, only around 13 lakh candidates have actually appeared for the Tier 1 exam.
- Now, as per the SSC CGL Result 2025, a total of 1,39,390 candidates have been shortlisted to appear for Tier 2 exam. Check the table here:

- Open the PDF and press Ctrl + F on your keyboard
- Type your Name or Roll Number in the search box
- If your details appear in the list, you have qualified for Tier-2
- You can download the result PDF for future reference and wait for announcements regarding the Tier 2 schedule.
SSC CGL Score Card 2025
The Commission has only released the qualifying status and cut-off of the candidates, whereas the marks obtained in Tier 1 exam will be released within a few weeks of result announcements. Once released, candidates will be able to check their marks using their registration number and password.

Result Status of Withheld and Debarred Candidates
The results of 49 candidates have been withheld due to various reasons, including pending litigations and ongoing court cases. The result of these candidates is currently under review, and their results will be decided only after the resolution of the concerned issues.

What to look forward to after the result declaration?
Now that the SSC CGL Tier 1 result 2025 is declared, check if your name/roll number is in the PDF, and see if you are shortlisted for Tier 2. The complete exam schedule for the Tier 2 stage will be released soon, but it is tentatively scheduled in 3rd week of Jan 2026. The SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam consists of Paper-I and Paper-II, both of which are objective-type, multiple-choice tests, except for Section-IV of Paper-I.
Language of the Questions
- Most questions are available in English and Hindi.
- However, the English Language & Comprehension section in Paper-I will be only in English.
Negative Marking
- Paper-I (Sections I, II, III) – 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Paper-II – 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
