What happens if the Assam CEE results 2025 are tied?
The rank for Assam CEE 2025 is calculated by the total marks obtained in all three disciplines – Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. If there is a tie between two pupils, the following tie-breaking factors are used in order:
- Higher grades in Mathematics
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the highest Physics grades is considered.
- If the issue remains unresolved, the candidate with the highest Physics marks will be considered.
- If applicants have similar marks in all three subjects, the older candidate (by date of birth) gets priority.
- If a tie exists, the alphabetical order of the candidate’s name is applied.
The Assam CEE exam was held on April 27, 2025, in a single shift from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The exam consisted of 120 multiple-choice questions and lasted three hours.
