Formula used:
Speed = Distance ÷ Time
Solution:
Let distance covered = x km
Then remaining distance = 54 - x
x =× (54 - x)
9x = 7(54 - x)
9x = 378 - 7x
9x + 7x = 378
16x = 378
x = 378 ÷ 16 = 23.625 km
Speed = 23.625 ÷ 1.25 = 18.9 km/hr
