Given:
Time 1 (T1) = 8 hours
Time 2 (T2) = 7 hours 30 mins = 7.5 hours
Speed difference = +5 km/hr
Formula Used:
Distance=Speed×Time\text{Distance} = \text{Speed} \times \text{Time}​​
Solution:
Let the initial speed be S km/hr.
Distance in case 1: D = S×8 \times 8​​
Distance in case 2: D = (S + 5) ×7.5 \times 7.5​​
Since distance is constant:
8S = 7.5(S + 5)
8S = 7.5S + 37.5
0.5S = 37.5
S = 75 km/hr
Calculate Distance:
D  =8×75=600 km= 8 \times 75 = 600 \text{ km}​​
