Given:

Speed of person A = 10 km/h

Speed of person B = 14 km/h

Distance between them = 24 km

Formula Used:

 Time =DistanceSpeed\ \text{Time } = \frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Speed}} ​

Solution: 

Two persons A and B are travelling towards each other so: 

​Relative speed = Speed of A + Speed of B

Relative speed=10km/h+14km/h=24km/h\text{Relative speed} =10km/h+14km/h=24km/h 

Time taken to meet=DistanceRelative speed \text{Time taken to meet} = \frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Relative speed}}  

Time=24 km24 km/h=1 hour\text{Time} = \frac{24 \, \text{km}}{24 \, \text{km/h}} = 1 \, \text{hour}​ 

Thus, the time taken for them to meet each other is 1 hour.​
