    Question

    Two men start walking together to a certain destination, one at the speed of 6 km/h, and the other at 7.5 km/h. The latter arrives 1 h 4 min before the former. The distance covered is:

    A.

    38 km

    B.

    44 km

    C.

    32 km

    D.

    24 km

    Correct option is C

    Given:

    Speed of first man = 6 km/h

    Speed of second man = 7.5 km/h

    First man arrives 1h 4 min before then Second man.

    Formula Used:

    Speed = DistanceTime\frac{{Distance }}{{Time}}

    Solution

    Let the distance = x

    According to the question

    x6x7.5=1h 4 min\frac{x}{6}- \frac{x}{7.5} = 1h \ 4 \ min

    x(7.56)45=1615x\frac{(7.5 - 6) }{45} = \frac{16}{15}

    x =  481.5=32km\frac{48}{1.5} = 32 km
