Question

Train A whose length is 180 m and Train B are running in opposite direction to each other and crosses each other in 10.8 seconds. If the difference between their speed is 18 km/hr and ratio of speed of train A to train B is 3:2, then find the length of train B.(in meters).

A.

D.

E.

Correct option is C

Let the speed of train A and train B be 3x kmph and 2x kmph respectively.
ATQ,
3x-2x=18
x=18
Train A's speed=3×18=54 kmph
Train B's speed=2×18=36 kmph
Let the length of train B be l meters.
(180+l)/(54+36)×18/5=10.8
l=90 m
