Question

In a morning walk Rama walks at 12 kmph instead of 8 kmph, he would have walked 16 km more the actual distance travelled by him is in km

A.

32

B.

30

C.

33

D.

31

Correct option is A

Given:

Speed of man by bicycle is 12 km/h instead of 8 km/h

More distance covered = 16 km

Formula used:

Distance = Speed × Time

Concept Used:

Time is the same in both the case.

Solution:

Let the actual distance travelled by him be x km.

Time = Distance/Speed

=> x/8 = (x + 16)/12

=> 12x = 8x + 128

=> 4x = 128

=> x = 32 km

 The actual distance travelled is 32 km
