Question

If 11=11x/(1-x), then the value of (2x)2(2x)^2 is:

A.

4

B.

2

C.

3

D.

1

Correct option is D

Given:
11=11x1x11 = \frac{11x}{1-x}
Solution:
11=11x1x11 = \frac{11x}{1-x}
11(1 - x) = 11x
11 - 11x = 11x
11x + 11x = 11
22x = 11
x = 1122=12\frac{11}{22} = \frac{1}{2}
So, the value of (2x)2(2x)^2
putting the value of x
4×12×12=14\times \frac{1}{2}\times \frac{1}{2} = 1
Thus the value of (2x)2(2x)^2 is 1
