Given:

8 men and 12 women Build a wall in 10 days

6 men and 8 women in 14 days

Concept used:

M1 × D1 = M2 × D2 

Total work done = Efficiency × Total number of days

Solution:

(8M + 12W) × 10 = (6M + 8W) × 14

80M + 120W = 84M + 112W

4M = 8W

M= 2W

Substitute M = 2W into 8M + 12W = Work10\frac{Work}{10}

​​8 (2W) + 12 W = Work10\frac{Work}{10}

​​16 W + 12 W = Work10\frac{Work}{10}

28W= Work10\frac{Work}{10}

Work = 280W

Time for one woman:

T = WorkW\frac{Work}{W} = 280W\frac{280}{W}

= 280 days.

Thus, correct option is (d)
