TNPSC Group 4 Selection Stages 2026

The TNPSC Group 4 Selection Process 2026 consists of four stages. Candidates must successfully clear each stage to secure their desired post. The stage-wise selection process details are provided below.

Stage 4: Physical Standards Verification and Endurance Test (For Forest Guard, Forest Guard with Driving Licence, Forest Watcher, and Forest Watcher posts) For these posts, candidates will be assessed through a Physical Standards Verification and Endurance Test consisting of a walk over 25 km and 16 km to be completed in four hours by male and female/third-gender candidates, respectively.

TNPSC Group 4 Selection Process 2026: Written Exam

The TNPSC Group 4 Exam 2026 will be a three-hour objective-type test with 300 questions. The minimum qualifying mark for all categories is 90. Part A will be in Tamil, while General Studies and Aptitude & Mental Ability Test questions will be available in both English and Tamil. The exam consists of two sections:

  • Part A includes a Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test (SSLC Standard) with 100 questions, carrying a total of 150 marks.
  • Part B consists of General Studies (SSLC Standard) with 75 questions worth 150 marks, along with an Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (SSLC Standard) containing 25 questions.
