According to the latest government notification, the OBC reservation policy has been revised following the High Court’s directions. Calcutta High Court Ruling and New 7% Reservation Rule

The Calcutta High Court issued a judgment regarding the OBC reservation policy in West Bengal. Following this decision, the earlier reservation of 10% for OBC (Category A) and 7% for OBC (Category B) has been revised. Under the new rule, a 7% reservation will be available for 66 recognized OBC communities that were included in the OBC list before 2010. This revised reservation policy will be applicable to the concerned state government recruitments.

List of Eligible OBC Communities Under the New Reservation Rule
