• A person of Indian origin who moved to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or from East African countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania (which was once Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam, planning to stay in India for good.
