GIMS Staff Nurse Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational qualification, nursing registration, experience, and age requirements by the last date of application.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:

• B.Sc. Nursing: 4-year B.Sc. Nursing degree from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Medical Faculty recognized institute/university.
• B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic): 2-year B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) qualification from an INC or State Medical Faculty recognized institute/university.
• G.N.M.: Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (G.N.M.) from an INC recognized institute, board, or council, along with the required experience.
  • Candidates with B.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
  • Candidates applying through the G.N.M. qualification must have at least 2 years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the required educational qualification.

Age Limit

The candidate must have attained 21 years of age and must not be more than 40 years of age as on 01 July 2026.

For Ex-Servicemen, the remaining age after deducting the period of military service must not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years. Candidates must also have been discharged from the Army by the last date of application.

GIMS Staff Nurse Selection Process 2026

The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test and Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Final selection will be based on CBT merit, subject to fulfillment of all eligibility and document requirements.

GIMS Staff Nurse Exam Pattern 2026

The CBT will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions based on the prescribed nursing curriculum. Each question will carry one mark.

The paper will be bilingual in Hindi and English. In case of any dispute regarding the bilingual question paper, the English version will be treated as final. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General, EWS and OBC candidates and 35% for SC and ST candidates. In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.

GIMS Staff Nurse Exam Centres 2026

The CBT will be conducted at examination centres in Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Varanasi. The examination centre allotted to a candidate cannot be changed. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the CBT or attending document verification.

GIMS Staff Nurse Salary 2026

Candidates selected for the Staff Nurse post at GIMS, Greater Noida will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 7 with an initial basic pay of ₹44,900 per month (Pay Scale ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400). In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for standard government allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and Nursing Allowances as per state government rules.
