BTSC Bihar Staff Nurse Document Verification 2026: New List of Candidates Released

The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has officially released an update on the Document Verification (DV) schedule for the Staff Nurse recruitment under Advertisement No. 23/2025. While the initial rounds of verification for candidates who qualified in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) have already concluded, a fresh list has been issued for a supplementary round.

This recruitment remains one of the largest healthcare hiring drives in Bihar, featuring a total of 11,389 vacancies.

The main phase of the BTSC Staff Nurse Document Verification was conducted earlier this year at the commission’s office in Patna.

BTSC Staff Nurse DV Update: Extra Verification Date Added

The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) issued a new official notice (Memo No. 1636) on June 5, 2026, announcing a special follow-up session for the Staff Nurse job openings. After checking letters and grievance requests sent in by applicants, the Commission is giving a final chance to a small group of candidates.

Why was this new list released?

The main document verification (DV) took place between April 17, 2026, and May 12, 2026. After it ended, some candidates reached out to the Commission because they missed their scheduled date or noticed mistakes in how their work experience paperwork was handled. The BTSC looked into these issues and cleared 20 candidates to come in for verification:

• 11 Candidates: Who were absent during their original dates.
• 09 Candidates: Who had mistakes in how their work experience was counted.

Note: These 20 specific candidates must show up for their document verification on June 15, 2026. You can check the attached official notice below to see the exact names and application numbers.

Important Rules for These 20 Candidates

• Check Your Email: Unlike the first round, where candidates downloaded letters from the portal, the Commission will send the Call Letters for these 20 individuals directly to their registered Email IDs. Make sure to check your inbox and spam folder.
• Follow the Standard Rules: All the original rules about which certificates to bring, how to format them, and what ID proofs are needed remain exactly the same.

Revised Eligibility Criteria for BTSC Staff Nurse

As per the guidelines issued following court orders and amendments to the Bihar Nursing Cadre Rules, candidates had to fulfill the following criteria:

• Candidates must have completed GNM from a recognised institute approved by the Indian Nursing Council.
• Candidates with a B.Sc. Nursing were also eligible.
• Registration with any State Nursing Council was mandatory at the time of application.
• Selected candidates must register with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council (BNRC), Patna before joining.
• All qualification-related documents must have been issued on or before the cut-off date of 23 May 2025.

BTSC Staff Nurse Documents Required for DV

Candidates must carry original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies during document verification.

Mandatory Documents

• Matriculation Certificate (for age proof)
• Residential Certificate
• Valid Photo Identity Proof
• GNM/B.Sc Nursing Certificate (Final/Provisional)
• Marksheets of all years/semesters
• Registration Certificate from State Nursing Council

Reservation & Category Documents

• Caste Certificate (SC/ST)
• Creamy Layer Certificate (BC/EBC)
• EWS Certificate
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)

Experience Documents (If Claimed)

• Experience Certificate in prescribed format (Annexure-I)
• Issued by authorised officials such as the Civil Surgeon/Superintendent
• Supporting documents like engagement order/notification
