The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is conducting the NICL AO Recruitment 2025 process to fill 266 vacancies for the post of Administrative Officer (Generalist & Specialist). The online application process has now been closed, and candidates who successfully applied will proceed to the next stage of the selection process. The recruitment will be held in three stages: Preliminary Exam (Phase 1), Main Exam (Phase 2), and Interview. As per the official schedule, the NICL AO Phase 1 Exam will be conducted on 20th July 2025, and candidates are advised to prepare accordingly.

NICL AO Exam Date 2025

The NICL AO Exam Date 2025 for Phase 1 is 20th July 2025. Those who qualify in this stage will be called for Phase 2, which is scheduled for 31st August 2025. Candidates who applied for 266 vacancies must stay tuned and regularly visit the official website of NICL for call letter updates.

NICL AO Pre-Exam Training 2025

NICL AO Eligibility Criteria

NICL AO Selection Process

The selection process involves multiple stages, and it varies as per the post. For AO Generalist and Specialist posts, the stages include Prelims, Mains, and Interview.

Note: Only those who clear the Mains objective test will have their descriptive answers checked. Based on the number of vacancies, a separate cut-off will also be set for the Descriptive Test. The Descriptive Test is qualifying in nature, which means its marks will not be included in the shortlisting for the interview or in the final selection.

NICL AO Salary Structure

Candidates selected as Administrative Officers (AO) at NICL will earn around Rs. 85,000 per month in metro cities. The basic pay starts at Rs. 50,925, and the salary follows a structured scale. The salary also includes various allowances according to company rules.

Additional benefits include pension plans, gratuity, travel subsidies, medical coverage, insurance, and housing options based on eligibility. Specialist Officers with an MBBS degree can receive a Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) of 25% of their basic pay.

National Insurance AO Recruitment: Guarantee Bond and Probation Period

Candidates who clear the NICL AO Examination will be assigned postings at locations determined by the Board. They are required to serve a minimum period of 5 years. However, those selected for Specialist positions must complete a mandatory service period of 10 years.

Also, the probation period after selection is for 1 year, and they will be promoted based on their performance in that year. The probation period may be extended for 2 years. Upon selection, candidates have to sign an Undertaking to serve the Company for 4 years. This is the Guarantee bond, and if any candidate decides to resign, then they have to pay 1 year’s salary.
