Bihar Employment Mission 2025–2030: Government Targets 1 Crore Jobs for Youth

The Bihar Government has launched a major initiative to boost employment across the state. Under the Bihar Employment Mission 2025 to 2030, the government aims to provide one crore jobs to youth over the next five years. According to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the state has already achieved significant progress by offering 50 lakh jobs between 2020 and 2025. To support this ambitious plan, the Bihar Cabinet has approved several important development projects, including an AI Mission, new townships, industrial growth initiatives, and technology-based infrastructure. Government’s Employment Roadmap

The Bihar Government has prepared a structured and long-term employment roadmap to guide the Bihar Employment Mission 2025 to 2030. Achievements: 2020–2025

• Under the Saat Nischay-2 programme, the Bihar Government successfully provided 50 lakh job and employment opportunities across sectors.

New Target: 2025–2030

• The state now aims to create 1 crore jobs in the next five years as part of the Bihar Employment Mission 2025 to 2030.

• This target will be supported by the development of new-age industries, technology-driven sectors, start-ups, service-sector expansion, and industrial projects.

10 Major Decisions Approved by the Bihar Cabinet

To drive the Bihar Employment Mission 2025 to 2030, the Cabinet has approved 10 key proposals focused on job creation, innovation, and economic growth:

1. Establishment of the Bihar Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission

2. Revival and expansion of old and new sugar mills

3. Development of 11 new townships (9 divisional headquarters, Sitamarhi, Sonepur)

4. Setting up Foreign and Defence Corridors

5. Establishment of a Semiconductor Park

6. Promotion of Global Capability Centres (GCCs)

7. Creation of Mega Tech City and Fintech City

8. Formation of a High-Level Committee to prepare a detailed report within six months

9. Policy reforms in job-oriented industries and service sectors

10. Infrastructure expansion aimed at long-term employment generation

These Cabinet-approved proposals aim to strengthen industries, promote investment, and create lakhs of jobs in the coming years.
