State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for SBI Law Officer Recruitment 2026 officially on 24th June 2026. The recruitment is being conducted by SBI’s Central Recruitment & Promotion Department (CRPD) under Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/02.

A total of 49 vacancies have been announced for two posts: Assistant Manager (Law) and Deputy Manager (Law), on a regular basis. Candidates who want to apply for SBI Law Manager posts can register online on SBI new website at www.sbi.bank.in/careers.

How to Apply for SBI Law Officer Recruitment 2026?

1. Visit the official SBI careers portal: sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings
2. Click on Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/02
3. Register online and fill in your details carefully
4. Upload all required documents: photograph, signature, ID proof, degree certificate, Bar Council enrolment proof, experience certificates, caste/EWS certificate (if applicable)
5. Pay the application fee online
6. Take a printout of the final application form

SBI Law Officer 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

The basic qualification required for both SBI Assistant Manager Law and SBI Deputy Manager Law posts is the same:

Mandatory: Graduate with a degree in Law (LLB), or a Law Graduate from a recognized Indian university.

Preferred: Candidates with a 5-year integrated law course may be given preference.

Experience Required

The experience must be counted after enrolment as an Advocate with the Bar Council. Internship, teaching, and training experience are not counted.

For Assistant Manager (Law): 2 years of experience as: 

• A practicing Advocate enrolled with Bar Council, OR
• A Law Officer in the Legal Department of a Scheduled Commercial Bank, OR
• A combination of both (total 2 years)

For Deputy Manager (Law): 4 years of experience as:

• A practicing Advocate enrolled with Bar Council, OR
• A Law Officer in the Legal Department of a Scheduled Commercial Bank, OR
• A combination of both (total 4 years)

Age Limit (As on 31/6/2026)

Age relaxation

• OBC (NCL) gets 3 years
• SC/ST gets 5 years
• PwBD candidates get 10–15 years depending on category.
