IOB Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirements regarding nationality, educational qualification, and age before submitting their applications.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess:
- A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government of India.
- The graduation result must have been declared on or before 31 July 2026.
For NATS Candidates
Candidates registered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) should have obtained their graduation result between 1 March 2022 and 31 July 2026.
Age Limit
For determining the age limit, the cutoff date is 1 July 2026. Candidates belonging to the General and EWS categories must have been born between 1 July 1998 and 1 July 2006, with both dates included.

Local Language Test
Candidates applying for a particular State/UT must be proficient in one of the prescribed local languages of that State. The local language test will be conducted after the online examination during document verification. However, candidates who have studied the concerned local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce valid mark sheets or certificates will be exempted from the language test.
Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted for document verification must produce the original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies. Failure to produce the required documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.

Important Instructions For Aspirants
Candidates should carefully read the official notification before applying online. Some important instructions are given below:
- Candidates can apply for only one State/UT, preferably their home State/UT.
- Registration on either the NAPS or NATS portal is mandatory before submitting the online application.
- Applicants must provide their NAPS/NATS Enrolment Number while filling out the application form.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training in IOB or any other organisation are not eligible.
- Candidates having one year or more of work experience after graduation are not eligible to apply.
- The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Final selection is subject to document verification, local language proficiency, medical fitness, and fulfilment of all eligibility conditions.
- Apprentices will not be treated as regular employees of Indian Overseas Bank and will not receive employee benefits.
