The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has revised the examination date for the Forest Ranger Examination-2025 through notification no. 144PSC/E-1/2025-2026, dated 6 September 2026. The examination, which was earlier scheduled to be held on 12 September 2026, will now be conducted on 14 September 2026 due to administrative inconveniences.
There will be no change in the examination venue, subjects, or timing. Candidates who have already downloaded their e-Admission Certificate for the earlier date do not need to download a new admit card. The previously issued e-Admission Certificate will remain valid for the revised examination date.

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the Assam Forest Ranger Eligible Candidates List 2026 on 17 August 2026 on its official website. The list contains the names and roll numbers of candidates who have been provisionally found eligible to appear for the written examination. Candidates must check the list carefully.
Only candidates whose names appear in the list is now eligible to download the E-Admission Certificate and appear for the written examination.

Assam Forest Ranger Exam Day Instructions 2026
Candidates must follow the instructions issued by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on the day of the examination:
- No separate intimation letter or admit card will be sent by post.
- Download the E-Admission Certificate from the official APSC website before the examination.
- Carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.
- Reach the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
