UPSSSC AGTA Notification 2026 Out, Eligibility, Important Dates

Educational Qualification

As per the UP Subordinate Agriculture Services Rules 1993 (as amended), candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent from a recognized institution or university in India. Accepted qualifications include:

• Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / Horticulture / Forestry
• Sc. (Hons.) Forestry
• Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)
• Sc. (Home Science) / Community Science (four-year degree from Agricultural & Technology University)

Preferential Qualification: Candidates who have served in the Pradeshik Sena for at least two years, or hold the NCC ‘B’ certificate, will be given preference in direct recruitment.

Age Limit

Candidates must have attained 21 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years as of 1st July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PH, Ex-Servicemen, and other reserved categories as per UP government rules.

UPSSSC AGTA 2026 — Vacancy Details

Under the UPSSSC AGTA Recruitment 2026, a total of 2759 vacancies have been announced across various categories. Out of these, 1692 posts are allocated for Unreserved (General) candidates, 213 for Scheduled Caste (SC), 6 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 573 for Other Backward Class (OBC), and 275 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

How to Apply for UPSSSC AGTA 2026

Applications are accepted online only through the official website upsssc.gov.in. No offline application will be accepted.

Step-by-Step Application Process:

1. Visit the official website upsssc.gov.in and navigate to the Live Advertisement Segment.
2. Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile/email.
3. Verify and fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and category information.
4. Upload photo and signature (auto-populated from PET-2025 registration).
5. Select preferred post and fill in “Other Details.”
6. Submit the Declaration form and pay the application fee.
7. Download and print the application form after successful fee payment.

Note: Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2025 (PET-2025) and received a score card from UPSSSC are eligible to apply. Candidates who scored zero or negative in PET-2025 will NOT be shortlisted.

UPSSSC AGTA 2026 Application Fee

Fee can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.

UPSSSC AGTA Selection Process 2026

Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done based on candidates’ normalized scores from PET-2025. Up to 15 times the number of advertised posts (category-wise) will be shortlisted, up to the cutoff score (rounded to 2 decimal places).

UPSSSC AGTA 2026 Exam Pattern

The Main Written Examination will consist of one question paper with:
