HSSC Horticulture JE and Junior Technical Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions simultaneously. Eligibility is verified multiple times, and failure to meet any single condition results in immediate rejection, even after qualifying for the exam.
Eligibility includes CET qualification, age limit, educational qualification, experience (where required), domicile, reservation conditions, certificate validity, exam qualification marks, document rules, and medical fitness, explained below in complete detail.
CET Qualification (Mandatory and Non-Negotiable)
Qualification in CET Group-C is the primary eligibility condition.
Candidates must meet the following:
- Must have qualified CET Group-C conducted under Advertisement No. 01/2025
- CET marks are used to shortlist candidates up to 10 times the number of vacancies
- Candidates who have not qualified CET are not allowed to apply
- CET qualification is verified again during document verification

- Graduation in Agriculture, Chemistry, or Biology
- Minimum 50% marks in the qualifying degree
Degrees without the specified subjects or without the minimum marks are not accepted.

Police Housing Corporation
- Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized university
DMER
- B.Sc. Agriculture (Horticulture)
Experience Counting Rule (Mandatory)
Where experience is required:
- Experience is counted only after acquiring the essential educational qualification
- Experience gained before the qualifying degree/diploma is not valid
- Experience certificates must clearly mention period, designation, nature of work, and issuing authority
Invalid or incomplete experience certificates lead to rejection.
Haryana Domicile & Reservation Conditions
Reservation benefits are available only to bona fide residents of Haryana.
Mandatory conditions include:
- BCA / BCB candidates must belong tothe Non-Creamy Layer
- EWS candidates must meet income and asset criteria
- PwBD candidates must have a benchmark disability of 40% or more
- Ex-Servicemen and dependents must submit valid service certificates
Candidates from other states are treated as the General category.
Certificate Validity (Critical Rejection Clause)
- Category certificates (SC/BC/EWS/ESM/PwBD) must be valid on 23 February 2026
- Certificates issued after the closing date are not accepted
- Certificates not in the prescribed format led to candidature cancellation
Minimum Qualifying Marks (Eligibility to Remain in Selection)
Candidates must secure the following marks in the written examination:
- General Category: 50%
- Reserved Categories: 40%
Candidates scoring below the qualifying marks are declared unsuccessful, irrespective of vacancy availability.
Exam Attempt Rule (Eligibility-Affecting)
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark
- No negative marking for wrong answers
- -1 mark for each unattempted question if the fifth bubble is not filled

- Final selection and appointment are subject to verification of character and antecedents by the appointing authority.
