The Government of Andhra Pradesh has extended the two-year upper age limit relaxation for direct recruitment to various uniform posts through APPSC and other recruiting agencies. The relaxation, earlier valid up to 30 September 2026, will now continue up to 30 September 2027. The age concession available under Rule 12 of the A.P. State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 will also continue to apply to eligible candidates.
APPSC FSO Selection Process 2026
The APPSC Forest Section Officer (FSO) recruitment 2026 will be conducted through a single-level CBRT, followed by a walking test and medical examination for candidates shortlisted as per the prescribed rules.
- Written Examination (CBRT): The exam carries 450 marks and includes a qualifying test and three papers. Negative marking of one-third applies for each wrong answer.
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:2 ratio for the physical test.
- Walking Test: Men must walk 25 km in 4 hours, while women must walk 16 km in 4 hours. This test is qualifying in nature.
- Medical Examination: Candidates undergo a medical examination at Rajamahendravaram.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): The test carries 100 marks and is qualifying in nature.
- Final Merit List: Merit is based on written examination marks and applicable NCC bonus marks.
