OSSC CGL Exam Date 2024
The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has notified the tentative exam months for Prelims and Mains Exam. The OSSC CGL Prelims Exam will be held in July-September 2024 and the Mains will be conducted in December 2024. OSSC will announce the exam dates for respective exam stages on its official website @ossc.gov.in.

Here is a step to step instructions to apply for the OSSC CGL Recruitment 2024:
- You can start your application process with the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) by visiting their official website at www.ossc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, find and click on the “Apply Online” button.
- If you’re a new user, click on “New User” to generate a user ID and password.

OSSC CGL 2024 Selection Process
The OSSC CGL Selection process involves the following 3 stages:
- Prelims: This is the first stage of examination and those who applied will be able to sit for the exam. There shall be 150 questions of 1 mark each and the level of the questions is 10th standard based.
- Mains: Those who qualify for the Prelims Exam, will be able to appear for the OSSC CGL Mains Exam which consists of 2 papers of 100 each.
- Certificate Verification: Candidates will be called for Document Verification to check and verify their identity.

In the exam, there will be 150 Multiple-choice questions which carry 1 mark each. Also, there is a negative marking of 1/4th mark (if there are 4 options) for each wrong answer marked by the candidate. The exam consists of 5 sections such as:

- Data Interpretation
- Reasoning Ability
- Current Events
- Computer Awareness

OSSC CGL Mains Exam Pattern
The OSSC CGL Mains Exam consists of two papers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 include questions in multiple-choice and short-answer formats. Each paper is worth 100 marks and has a duration of 2.5 hours. Additionally, following the Mains Exam, there will be a separate Maths Exam specifically for the post of Auditor.

OSSC CGL 2024 Salary
For the posts under OSSC CGL, candidates selected as Inspector of Cooperative Societies/Auditor/Inspector of Endowments/Assistant CT & GST Officer will get a salary of Inspector of Cooperative Societies/Auditor/Inspector of Endowments/Assistant CT & GST Officer as per Pay level 9 of ORSP, 2017.
Candidates selected as Junior Assistant HOD/Junior Assistant (District Offices under Department of Water Resources) will be given a salary of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200/- as per Pay Level 4 of ORSP, 2017.
