Sol. The contractor is required to deposit some amount with the department as a guarantee of the tender known as earnest money. It is about 2% of total cost of construction.

Sol. In 1m³ of brick masonry, the no. of modular brick required = 500 bricks

Hence, in 10 m³ of brick work, the no. of modular brick needed = 10 × 500 = 5000 bricks.

Sol. According to IS:1200, floor finishes shall be measured in m² and form work is also measured in m².
