Given:

A right circular cone with height 8 m and slant height 10 m

Concept used:

Curve surface area of cone = πrl

Radius of cone = √[(l)2 - (h)2

Solution:

According to the question,

Radius = [(10)2(8)2]√[(10)^2 - (8)^2]​​

=> R = √[100 - 64]

=> R = √36 = 6 m

Now Curve surface area of cone

=> CSA = π × 6 × 10

=> CSA = 60π m2

∴ The area of the curved surface of a right circular cone is 60π m2.
