    Given

    Diameter of cone = 8 cm
    Slant height of cone = 14 cm
    Formula used:

    Lateral surface Area of cone = πrl
    Where, l = slant height
    r = radius of cone
    h = height
    Solution:

    Radius = Diameter/2 = 8/2 = 4 cm
    Lateral surface area of the cone = πrl
    = (22/7) × 4 × 14
    = 176 cm²
    Then the lateral surface are of the cone = 176 cm²
