    Question

Three statements are followed by three conclusions numbered I. II and III. You have to consider these statements to be true. even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts. Decide which of the given conclusions logically follow(s) from the given statements.
    Statements:
    I. Some pliers are levers
    II. All levers are ramps
    III. Some cutters are pliers
    Conclusions:
    I. Some cutters are levers
    II. Some ramps are cutters
    III.  All pliers are ramps

    A.

Either conclusion I or III follows

    B.

    Only conclusion II follows

    C.

    Only conclusion I follows

    D.

    None of the conclusions follow

    Correct option is D

    Statements:

    I. Some pliers are levers
    II. All levers are ramps
    III. Some cutters are pliers

According to the Statements Venn-diagram will be.

    Conclusions:
    I. Some cutters are levers.
This conclusion assumes that some cutters are pliers, and some pliers are levers. While this is possible, the overlap between cutters and pliers doesn't guarantee that any cutters are levers. Therefore, conclusion I doesn't follow
    II. Some ramps are cutters.
According to the statements all levers are ramps, and some pliers are levers. However, we don't have any information connecting cutters directly to ramps. Therefore, conclusion II does not follow.
    III. All pliers are ramps.
The statement "All levers are ramps" and "Some pliers are levers" implies that only the pliers that are levers are ramps. Since not all pliers are necessarily levers. Therefore, conclusion III does not follow.
Thus, the correct option is (d )None of the conclusions follow.
