The radius of a circular wheel is 7/4 m. How many revolutions does the wheel make to cover 22 km?
Question

The radius of a circular wheel is 7/4 m. How many revolutions does the wheel make to cover 22 km?

A.

1000

B.

2000

C.

100

D.

4000

Correct option is B

Given:
Radius of the wheel = 7/4 m

Formula Used:

1 km = 1000 m

Circumference of wheel = 2 πr

Solution:

Circumference of wheel = 2 × (22/7) × (7/4) = 11 m

1 revolution = circumference of the wheel

=> 11 m = 1 revolution

=> 1 m = 1/11 revolution

=> 22000 m = (1/11) × 22000 = 2000 revolution.
