Let the present age of mother be 8x and daughter is 3x
As per the question
(8x+12)/(3x+12)= 2/1
8x + 12 = 6x + 24
2x = 12
x = 6
Sum of present age of mother and daughter = 8x+3x = 11x = 11×6=66 year.
