Question

The diagonal of a quadrilateral is 32 m long, and its two offsets are 6 m and 10 m long. The area of the quadrilateral is

A.

256 m2

B.

220 m2

C.

276 m2

D.

250 m2

Correct option is A

Given:

Length of the diagonal = 32m32m32 \, \text{m} 32

Offsets = 6m and 10m6m6 \, \text{m}6m10m10 \, \tex

Formula used:

Area of quadrilateral = 12×d(a+b)\frac{1}{2}\times d(a+b)

where, d is the diagonal , a and b are offsets

Solution:

Area = 12\frac{1}{2} ×\times 32 ×\times (6 + 10)

= 16 ×\times 16

= 256m2m^2
