    Question

    The daily income of three persons A, B and C is in the ratio of 2:5:11 and the income of B is Rs. 291 more than that of A, Find the income of C

    A.

    Rs. 679

    B.

    Rs. 1,746

    C.

    Rs. 1,067

    D.

    Rs. 1,256

    Correct option is C

    Suppose, that the daily income of three persons A, B and C is 2x, 5x and 11x.
    Given that the income of B is Rs. 291 more than that of A. So,
    =>5x=2x+291=>5x2x=291=>3x=291=>x=97\Rightarrow 5x = 2x + 291 \\\Rightarrow 5x – 2x = 291 \\\Rightarrow 3x = 291 \\\Rightarrow x = 97
    Now, the income of C,
    =>11x=11×97=>11x=Rs.1067\Rightarrow 11x = 11 × 97 \\\Rightarrow 11x = Rs. 1067
    So, the income of (c) is Rs. 1,067.
