A.

Rs 15,000

B.

Rs 12,500

C.

Rs 16,000

D.

Rs 18,000

Correct option is B

 Given:
Annual pay = Rs 9.0 lakh = Rs 900,000
Ratio of expenditure to savings = 5 : 1
Formula Used:

Savings (1Total parts)×\left( \frac{1}{\text{Total parts}} \right) \times Total income
Solution:
Total parts = 5 (expenditure) + 1 (savings) = 6

Annual savings =(16)×900,000=150,000= \left( \frac{1}{6} \right) \times 900{,}000 = 150{,}000

Monthly savings =150,00012=12,500=\frac{150,000}{12}=12,500
