    A.

    6.5

    B.

    7.5

    C.

    7

    D.

    5.5

    Correct option is A

    Given:

    The first 14 whole numbers are 0,1,2,3,,130, 1, 2, 3, \ldots, 13

    Formula Used:

    Average = Sum of the numbersTotal number of numbers\frac{\text{Sum of the numbers}}{\text{Total number of numbers}}

    The sum of the first n whole numbers (from 0 to n-1):

    Sum = n(n1)2\frac{n(n-1)}{2}

    Solution:

    For the first 14 whole numbers:

    Sum = 14(141)2=14×132=1822=91\frac{14(14-1)}{2} = \frac{14 \times 13}{2} = \frac{182}{2} = 91

    Average = 9114 \frac{91}{14} = 6.5
