Question

Ramneek starts a business with ₹1,45,600. After 5 months, Somesh joins him with ₹1,50,400. At the end of the year, in what ratio should they share the profit?

A.

78 : 47

B.

23 : 41

C.

39 : 49

D.

53 : 48

Correct option is A

Given:

Ramneek’s capital = ₹1,45,600 for 12 months

Somesh’s capital = ₹1,50,400 for (12 – 5) = 7 months

Concept Used:

Profit is shared in the ratio of capital × time

Solution:

Ramneek’s share = 145600 × 12 = 1747200

Somesh’s share = 150400 × 7 = 1052800

Ratio = 1747200 : 1052800

= 78 : 47
