Question

Neha and Kajal invest in a business in the ratio 4 : 9. If total profit is Rs. 5590, then what is difference between the profit (in Rs.) of Neha and Kajal?

A.

2150

B.

2300

C.

2200

D.

2000

Correct option is A

Given:

Ratio of share of Neha and Kajal in the business = 4 : 9

Total profit = ₹5590

Solution:

Let the ratio of share of Neha and Kajal be 4x and 9x

Total of ratio = 4x + 9x = 13x

Then 13x = 5590

x = 559013 \frac{5590}{13} = 430

Difference in share = 9x - 4x = 5x = 5 ×\times 430 = ₹2150
