Given:

Volume of cone (V) = 75.36 cubic inches

Diameter of cone = 6 inches

π ≈ 3.14

Formula Used:

r=Diameter2r = \frac{\text{Diameter}}{2}​​

Volume of a cone: V=13πr2hV = \frac{1}{3} \pi r^2 h​​

slant height s=r2+h2s = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}​​

Solution:

r = 6inches 2\frac{6 \text{inches }}{ 2}​ = 3 inches

75.36 =  13\frac{1}{3} ×\times​3.14 ×\times​ (3)² ×\times h

75.36 = 3.14×\times  3 ×\times h
75.36 = 9.42h

h = 75.369.42\frac{75.36 }{ 9.42}​​

h = 8 inches

s=r2+h2s = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}​​

s = (32+82)\sqrt{(3² + 8²)}​​

s = (9+64)\sqrt{(9 + 64)}​​
