In triangle ABC, if the angles are in the ratio 4 : 3 : 5, find the angles.
Question

In triangle ABC, if the angles are in the ratio 4 : 3 : 5, find the angles.

A.

20°, 15°, 25°

B.

40°, 30°, 50°

C.

20°, 50°, 70°

D.

60°, 45°, 75°

Correct option is D

Given:

The angles of triangle ABCABCABC are in the ratio 4:3:54 : 3 : 55, we can express the angles = 4x , 3x, 5x

Concept Used:

The sum of the angles in any triangle 180°180\degree

Solution :

4x + 3x + 5x = 180°180\degree

12x = 180°180\degree
 x = 180°12\frac{180\degree}{12}

x = 15°15\degree

Now,

First angle 4x = 4 ×\times 15°15\degree = 60°60\degree

Second angle 3x = 3 ×\times 15°15\degree = 45°45\degree

Third angle 5x = 5 ×\times 15°15\degree = 75°75\degree

Thus, the angles of triangleABCABCABC are

60°60\degree45°45\degree75°75\degree
