In ∆ABC, if ∠A = 3 ∠B and ∠C = 2 ∠B then, what are values of ∠A, ∠B and ∠C?
Question

In ∆ABC, if ∠A = 3 ∠B and ∠C = 2 ∠B then, what are values of ∠A, ∠B and ∠C?

A.

60°, 30° and 90°

B.

90°, 30° and 60°

C.

30°, 90° and 60°

D.

90°, 60° and 30°

Correct option is B

Given:

In triangle △ABC,

A=3B,C=2B\angle A = 3\angle B,\quad \angle C = 2\angle B

Concept Used:
Sum of angles in a triangle is always 180180^\circ

Solution:

3B+B+2B=1803\angle B + \angle B + 2\angle B = 180^\circ

6B=1806\angle B = 180^\circ

B=30\angle B = 30^\circ

Now,

A=3×30=90,C=2×30=60\angle A = 3 \times 30^\circ = 90^\circ,\quad \angle C = 2 \times 30^\circ = 60^\circ
