    Question

    If two cubes, each with a side of 10 cm, are joined end to end, then find the surface area of the resulting cuboid.

    A.

    1000 cm²

    B.

    100 cm²

    C.

    500 cm²

    D.

    300 cm²

    Correct option is A

    Given:
    Each with a side of 10 cm i.e Height = 10 cm and width = 10 cm.
    Formula Used:
    Total surface area of cuboid = 2(LB + BH + HL)
    Solution:
    The length of the resulting cuboid = 2 x 10 cm = 20 cm
    Total surface area of cuboid = 2(LB + BH + HL)
    => 2(20 × 10 + 10 × 10 + 10 × 20)
    => 1000 cm2
