Question

The volume of a cube whose edge is 6 m is _______ many times the volume of a cuboid of dimensions 36 m, 30 m, 24 m.

A.

60

B.

120

C.

90

D.

80

Correct option is B

Given:

Edge of cube = 6 m

Dimensions of cuboid = 36 m, 30 m, 24 m

Formula Used:

Volume of cube = (edge)³

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Solution:

Volume of cube = 63 = 216 m3

Volume of cuboid = 36×30×2436 \times 30 \times 24 = 25920  m3

Required number of times

25920216\frac{25920}{216}

= 120

So, the volume of the cube is 120 times the volume of the cuboid.
