Given:

Price of tea increased by 28%

Solution:

Let the price of tea be Rs. 100

Increased price = 100 + 28% of 100  = Rs. 128

Reduction on Rs 128 = Rs 28

Reduction on Re 1  =28128 \frac{28}{128}​​

Reduction on Rs 100 =28128×100=21.87%22%= \frac{28}{128}\times 100 = 21.87\% \approx \bf 22\%
