    Doubling the number and adding 20 gives the same result as multiplying the number by 8 and subtracting 4.
    Concept Used:
    Simple algebraic equation in one variable;
    ax + b = 0
    where, a and b are constant.
    Solution:
    Let the number be x.
    According to the question,
    2x + 20 = 8x - 4
    => 8x - 2x = 20 + 4
    => 6x = 24
    => x = 246\frac{24}{6}
    => x = 4
